U-Media Ambassadors

The U-Media project will recruit 12 ‘U-Media Ambassadors’ – six from Germany and six from elsewhere within the EU – to join the bigger team of Young Sports Media Talents at the Rhine-Ruhr 2025 FISU Games. The U-Media Ambassadors will contribute media coverage from in and around the mixed zones of the world’s biggest multi-sport event for student-athletes.

The application period is from 31 March until 14 April 2025.

Candidates are selected based on their past experiences and portfolios, their educational backgrounds and letters of motivation, and on the recommendations of teaching staff or managers. To qualify for consideration, candidates must:

  • Be aged between 18 and 25 on 1 June 2025
  • Be a student or recent graduate of media-focused academic programmes
  • Possess minimum language skills of C1 (Advanced English) for international participants, and fluency in German for national participants
  • Be available on the event days (from 13 to 28 July 2025)
  • Hold a citizenship of Germany or of another EU member state or of a third country associated to the Erasmus+ Programme, ie:
    • North Macedonia
    • Serbia
    • Iceland
    • Liechtenstein
    • Norway
    • Türkiye

The application phase closes on 14 April 2025. Shortlisted candidates will be invited for an online interview. The final list of participants will be published on the website in May 2025.
