Beach Volleyball – Five Rules to Know
- Team Size
Each team consists of two players, and there are no substitute players allowed.
- Court Size
The court measures 8 meters by 16 meters and is divided into two halves by a net.
- Net Height
The net is set at a height of 2.43 meters for men and 2.24 meters for women.
- Scoring System
The first two sets are played up to 21 points, and a team must win by at least two points. If a third set is necessary, it is played up to 15 points, with the same requirement of a two-point lead to win.
- Point Scoring
Points are scored when the ball lands in the opponent’s half of the court or when the opposing team fails to return the ball in accordance with the rules.
